Whether the photographs are of manmade objects or nature, Susan Jones adds color to black and white photographs to remake the world as she sees it. Her use of balance and light lead your eye through these extraordinary pieces of art.
Vicki Rees’ inspiration is often as close as her kitchen. Others may see an unremarkable tomato, but she envisions a star waiting for its closeup. Vicki typically looks for unusual angles and lighting to depict the natural world in saturated colors. And on hot summer days she has been known to wander into abstracts.
Fast and loose, Amy Beshgetoorian’s style of painting is inspired by her Chinese watercolor teacher who always reminded her to “paint fast and paint a lot”. Nothing is off limits for Amy to paint, as long as she can simplify the subject and determine an interesting color palette.
